I am an experienced school governor and spent ten years supporting the primary school my children attended. I now work for the Diocese of Norwich education support company to support local governing boards within their academies. In my working life, I spent over thirty years working on and supporting, the restorations of vintage aircraft. I am married with three children. I am also a trustee with the Evolution Academy Trust.

I have a long-standing attachment to Diss Primary Academy having been a pupil there many years ago. I still remember vividly my experiences there and how it instilled into me some lifelong lessons and values. So having moved back to Diss in 2016, I was delighted to become a school governor for the Partnership. My background is in local government and I currently work for Norfolk Adult Social Services. Previously I have been a governor at a Norfolk secondary school and was latterly the chair of the governing body. With three children now grown up who have been through local schools, I know the importance of giving young people the every chance to achieve their potential. I am delighted and proud now to use my skills and experience to support the Diss Primary Academy to give our local children the best possible start in their school life.

My eldest daughter joined Scole School 2018 and since my youngest joined in 2021 I have been an active member of the PTA and am currently Secretary. As a previous Quality Assurance Auditor I hope my attention to detail and resilience, and also personal passion for the school, will enable me to be a successful parent governor.
